The Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), Process Control and Industrial Automation system, provided batch filling for transfer of biodiesel from the tanker trucks to the storage tanks, in addition to intermediate transfer pumping to the refuelling stations.

The project included needs analysis and scope of works consulting, detailed design, manufacture of control panels and skid equipment and included procurement and supply of all instrumentation and controls required for safe and automatic transfer.

Southern Quarries operates the dolomite and bluestone quarry at Sellicks Hill, which has been mined since the early 1970s. At the time of construction of the new crushing plant, DAYTECH's team worked with the crushing plant equipment manufacturing engineers, Rocktec, the electrical contractors and the owner to provide Industrial Automation and software development, Advanced Instrumentation and Controls, Wireless Connectivity, PLC, HMI and integration services for delivery of the plant.
